School Fundraise by Donating Reusable Clothing
Clothing Donation Methods:
School Fundraise by Donating Reusable Clothing! In today's fast fashion world, clothes quickly fill up our wardrobes, and unfortunately, to make more space we chuck away a lot of good quality clothing which end up in waste landfill sites. We all love excuses to buy new outfits, whether for events, trends, weight loss, changing seasons, or a shift in style.
Instead of discarding old clothes, we offer a recycling solution that benefits the environment, lesser fortunate people in need and raises funds for your local school all at the same time! Here's our collection methods:
Bags Collection
- Please fill out our booking form on our website.
- We will provide you with our Happy School Bags in bulk at no cost, accompanied by promotional posters to assist in advertising the collection. Moreover, we will provide you with the necessary content one month before the collection date.
- Students will take the bags home and fill them with clothing donations, which can consist of reusable unwanted clothes, paired shoes, accessories, belts, hats, jewelry, and more.
- If you have no storage space, don’t worry. On the collection day, our driver will arrive to weigh the bags filled with clothing donations and load them into the van.
Additionally, you will receive a receipt for the kilograms collected via the email provided. Please note that the funds for collections are transferred on the following Friday via BACS.
Indoor Promotional Dropbox
Combining our indoor dropbox with a bags collection service, serves as an excellent clothing donation method, especially 2-3 weeks leading up to the collection date. This approach gives parents and pupils more time to donate.
- Contact us to arrange delivery of an indoor drop box to your school.
- Position the dropbox indoors where it can be easily accessed by pupils, parents and staff for clothing donations.
- Once the dropbox is full, its contents can be emptied and stored in a storage room, allowing more clothing donations to be placed in it.
Outdoor Bank
- Get in touch with us to schedule the delivery of an outdoor textile bank to your school.
- We will provide you with promotional posters to assist in promoting the scheme.
- Students can donate clothing by simply placing them directly into the bank.
- Contact us when the bank is full, and we’ll arrange a collection. Subsequently, payment will be processed via BACS.

What People Think About Us
Siobhan Ritchings
St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School"Our school loves the happy bag scheme, the people answering emails and the drivers are always polite and welcoming. On time and they will call if stuck in traffic. A great way to stop unwanted things going into landfill."
Beckey Evans
Windlesham Village Infants School"Recycling is a simple, but effective way for our PTA to raise money and our parents love the opportunity to have regular 'clear out' for a good cause.
Happy School Bag make it even easier by providing collection bags and posters in advance, weighing the bags on site and paying immediately on a collection.
We now book our collections in advance to gain an even higher price per kilo - funds that go a long way to support our schools IT budget."
Caroline Bromley
Lamberhurst St Mary's CofE Primary School"We have been working with Happy School Bag for several years now.
I am particularly drawn to the ethos of the company in providing affordable second hand clothes to communities who would otherwise not be able to afford them, providing jobs in the UK and Europe, supporting eco-friendly recycling and paying us much needed financial return for our charity efforts.
The money we have raised has provided two new classrooms for our link school in Malawi and has taught our pupils how effective recycling can benefit several communities at the same time."
Amanda Langley
Breakspeare Community Pre SchoolWe have found the Happy School Bag scheme a quick and efficient way of raising money for our Pre School.
It allows all our families to get involved by donating unwanted items. The team at Happy School Bag are great from point of booking a slot, through to sending us bags, to finally collecting the items.
The drivers who collect the bags have always been excellent ensuring all bags are collected and then leaving us with a cheque for the amount raised.
This means it is all done and dusted on the day of a collection and there is no waiting for the donation cheque to arrive. A super service, thank you!"
Emma Kolaru
Enfield Town Schools' Partnership"Happy School Bag has encouraged pupils to recycle outgrown clothing which is then resold by the company.
The scheme has shown pupils' first-hand how their fundraising efforts have benefitted their school environment.
Happy School Bag made access to funding simple and straighforward and the scheme was easy to administer across our partnership schools."
